FrameDojo
A browser-based fight game trainer — bring your own ROM, drill combos with real timing feedback. It's built for KOF 2002 first :v. Next up: KOF 97, KOF 98, KOF 2001, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, and other games I want to get good at. Requests are welcome.
Open FrameDojo → Bring your own KOF 2002 ROM; works best in Chrome with a controller plugged in.
What it does
It boots King of Fighters 2002 right in the browser. I play on a Hori fight stick, so controllers came first: whatever your browser sees works, every button can be remapped, and the keyboard turns itself off while a controller is mapped so a stray key can't mess up an input.
On top of the game sits the training layer. Pick a character and you get the whole move list (specials, supers, MAX supers and ocultos) plus sourced combo routes for all 44 arcade characters. Iori has the deepest pack right now. The trainer follows your inputs step by step, tells you where a combo dropped and how many frames you took between steps, and keeps a scrollable input history with frame counts. "Show me" plays a move into the game so you can see the timing before you try it. The Plus and Magic Plus hacks load too, but those haven't been checked move by move yet.
Practice tools
Save states: save right before you start a combo, load to retry from that exact spot instead of waiting out a super you didn't mean to throw. Map save and load to spare buttons on your stick. Mark combos as learned and it tells you what to work on next. Edit any combo or write your own, tune the playback timing frame by frame, and drag the panels around until the layout fits how you practice.
What's not here
No ROMs or BIOS files live in this project, hosted or distributed — you bring your own, the same way you would for any emulator. Your files and progress stay in your browser; nothing gets uploaded. Combo routes come from community sources (old KOF 2002 wikis and FAQs) and are marked unverified until they've been confirmed in-game. Not affiliated with SNK, Capcom, or any other publisher.
Status
KOF 2002 is playable now. After that: KOF 97, KOF 98, KOF 2001, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 — New Age of Heroes are all planned, along with whatever else I end up wanting to get good at. Accounts, so your saved stuff follows you between devices, are on the list too. Got a game you'd like to see supported? Requests are welcome. Updates land on the blog as they happen.
