I'm Antero — a loss control consultant, based in Southern California. My day job is inspecting commercial properties and writing the reports underwriters use to price risk. It's steady work, but it's not the only thing I care about.

I've always been interested in music, cybersecurity, and building software, but those interests kept getting shelved whenever it was time to go earn a living. This site is me changing that — using AI tools as leverage to actually learn and ship things, in public, instead of just thinking about them.

The plan: document the process honestly — the parts that work, the parts that don't — while I build a handful of real projects. One of them, a productivity tool for independent loss control consultants, draws directly on my day job. The others are further from my expertise and closer to the stuff I do for the love of it.
